Last 50 Shouts: Chris Nobody is posting til next week when the kids are back in school bambu Aboriginal riot in Canberra, PM and opposition leader rushed to safety. Not a word about it here. piersdad JD is here to celebrate a family birthday  and we are all having a great time  heaps of people here including a grand son from switzerland  he is 20 and on his big OE jen OK... just read your post lol! J.M. for short? jen quiet is a gooood thing....ssshhhhh... lol Chris Three more days before youngest  has her first day in high school (Orientation Day) then the eldest goes back Wednesday... from then on... might actually be able to post something!! Geez... seems like forever. SO quiet in here lately! jen Thats a relief! Fingers crossed for good test results... Chris Baby home now and parents, grandparents et al are relieved to say the least. Still no idea what it was tho gastroenteritis and possible choking on vomit (sorry) seem to be potentials. More tests in coming weeks just in case! jen There is a wide variety of weird and wonderful viruses, that don't amount to much... fingers crossed Chris Thanks Jen... it *is* one of those times I wish I was 12,000 miles away!! Still, the little one made it thru the night. His blood pressure has dropped but the docs still have no idea what was/is wrong. Fingers are crossed it was just a one-off incident. jen Hope things go well in the UK for you Chris... must be awful being all the way over here at a time like that. Chris Hey Bu... where ya been?? Happy New Year etc!! Chris My youngest grandchild (my son't first child and only a few months old) has been in hospital overnight in the UK. Seems he had some sort of spasm, threw up everywhere and his lips went blue for a while. His blood pressure shot up and so the doctors are keeping him in overnight for observation. We're obviously all a bit worried. Chris One more week and the kids are back in school. No doubt I'll miss them... but it just *might* mean less work for me to do. I'm still chasing my tail here! I can;t check right now as am supposed to be clearing the garden and mowing... but if I can get back later I'll check! jen Hmmm... am I the only one that shows the time in here, one hour earlier than it should be? For two days *I* couldn't get in to check what's wrong. The site simply disappeared. If nothing else I can at least check the logs etc to see what's been going on. Gales and driving rain one day... 33ºC the next... followed by a cloudy 24ºC. You can keep the 'forties' tho thanks. Crankenstein 40 degrees here in brisbane today. WOW Chris Trying to start a new routine of getting up and off to the gym for just 30 mins each session. Managed to get there this morning... we live in hope! Chris Went to a few places yesterday down towards Wollongong... and it was a howling gale most of the day!! Still had fun tho jen Awww... went to a wedding yesterday. Beautiful. Starting to collect friends with children that are getting married... Chris Wow - feels like forever since I logged in last. Heavy rain, strong winds, for months on end. The 'wild west' it surely is, where only the tough survive the 'hard drinking-hard-living'.
