Seems to me he's being hung, drawn and quartered by Abbott before there's any sort of judicial inquiry. The real 'joke' is that Turnbull was up for the same 'offence' but was allowed to keep working while it was sorted out!! Hypocrisy at its worst.

Wandering by to say 'Hi'. Completely flat out at the moment, studying 2 courses and teaching 3, plus buying a townhouse on the Gold Coast for our big move in a few months. All the developments are good ones, though. Hope all's well with all here.

??? ??? ???...Tonight!,my "insides" are reacting......violently, to the excess of Christmas foodstuffs.

I am actually grilling two Lamb Chops.
To be served with salad and mashed potato.
No fancy sauces:
No sour cream dips: no yogurt.
Just plain salt and black pepper.

For sweets: I shall have a huge slice of fresh watermelon.

if I cannot sleep: then, I shall brew myself a huge mug of Ovaltine:.

Hope that I can "get myself together".....before the New year Celebrations.

Yikes!!.

A small pastry pie bottom with a 'stew' of fruits (sultanas, currants, peel and spices, recipes vary a little) then cooked with a pastry lid or star shape on top. Yummy.

Mince pie...minced steak in pastry.

You put the pastry in the pie maker, put the minced steak in...and hey presto...mince pies!

To save leftovers.....my feeble suggestion... buy a Cryovac machine...currently we have packages of 'vacced' packs of sliced ham, sliced pork, (steak, lamb chops, pork chops these last three meat are for a bit of variance in the menu, if need be) and would you believe packages of unused cashews and peanuts.

We originally bought the machine for when we catch fresh fish...these same little packages are excellent to freeze...can be defrosted...so easy in the vacced. bags....no mess

Lamb roast.
Not one with the name 'Marcus'!

I'm with PETA on the issue of mulesing.

Male sheep and cattle shouldn't be castrated without anaesthetic either.

"Our investigators have during past Eid 'slaughterfests' documented traumatised Australian sheep being dragged by their horns and fleece, tied up, thrown onto trucks or shoved into car boots before being 'sacrificed' by having their throats cut whilst fully conscious. Despite this clear evidence of cruelty, the Australian Government allows the supply of many hundreds of thousands of sheep specifically for this festival each year.

The live export trade has a history littered with disasters. One can only imagine the terror for both the crew and the animals as the Danny F II went down. Attempts to rescue the crew were hampered by floating animal carcases, providing a stark image of the scale of the suffering and death caused.
More than half the 83 crew members are still missing.

"This disaster should provide a further wake up call to the Rudd Government that there are inherent and unacceptable risks every time these huge livestock vessels take to sea. When something goes wrong – such as fire, ventilation breakdown, or extremes of weather such as the storms that hit the Danny F II, thousands of lives are lost.
