Seems to me he's being hung, drawn and quartered by Abbott before there's any sort of judicial inquiry. The real 'joke' is that Turnbull was up for the same 'offence' but was allowed to keep working while it was sorted out!! Hypocrisy at its worst.

Wandering by to say 'Hi'. Completely flat out at the moment, studying 2 courses and teaching 3, plus buying a townhouse on the Gold Coast for our big move in a few months. All the developments are good ones, though. Hope all's well with all here.

" With all Sincerity"!.Reg: Resolutions!!!.
« on: January 05, 2010, 08:11:28 PM »

 :'( :'( :'({I have Failed!."}...already.

My New Year Resolutions.......may have "gone astray".....
and it is only the 5th of January .

This morning......between 4.30 and 6 a.m.
I ate three serves of left over Cheese cake.!!!!.
It  was soo-oo alone......and neglected.
Sitting in the back of the fridge.....looking soo-oo forgotten.
I felt....."obliged"......to put it out of it's Misery.

I think, that I may have made up for it: by eating three peaches;
two apricots and three Nectarines.????{ maybe}?.

Tonight, for tea, I have had home made Lasagne.......with several glasses of red wine.Yeeh Haah!!!!.

Oh dear!!!...tomorrow is Wednesday the 6th:.....
so, I may have to dig out the Sao Biscuits.

So? what are the rest of you doing?.

I didn't even make a resolution this year....probably because I tend to break them within the first few days.. ;D....brother-in-law said to a few of us once ....at some stage in your life you just have to accept how you are (in was in relation to a conversation on weight gain etc) & enjoy life.....has always stuck in my mind & tonight in mixed company the subject of age & getter older came up yet again.....I actually think the same thing applies to age...we should just think of age as a "number"....nothing to do with what you can or cannot do ...ie I'm to old to do so & so....hhmmm perhaps that explains now why I am suddenly lumbered with organising an Irish night of entertainment in March......anyone know of a good irish fiddler/singer/dancer interested in donating some time to a charity night?? ;D

My freakin New Years Resolutions was to stop freakin well swearing so much - my standards have slipped these last few years, and it's time to give myself a good shake!

Eating that much fruit isn't probably that much better for you than the cheesecake.

My new years resolution was to be more dedicated to my studies. So far going well... Its two months before the start of semester and I have already started drafting one of my assignments...  :o

The solution is not to make a resolution or alternatively eat what you want when you want and get more exercise.

First you wrote.......bewildered......you are doing well.+++

Then you wrote......{NOT}. :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[!!!!!!!!

I am doing my very, very, best.....to "cut down" on the miscellaneous foodstuff: that got thrown out, after the Christmas celebrations.
In particular......the "sweets."  BUT!!!!!.... I simply "Hate" waste.

The pavlova: cheesecake, strawberries and ice cream cake.
One cannot help but "notice them"....sitting all alone.....in the back of the fridge...... :o :o :o...Dying slowly, day by day!!!!.
They look soo-oo bereft!!!! and alone !!.

If it helps at all: I am still wearing my Purple Kaftan......as I tuck in....to all these delicious "left-overs".

Next week, I promise, that I shall partake of the "Miracle Soup".
Which is made up of onions: swedes: cabbage: celery and parsley.

They say, that you can live on it: for a fortnight:before, you collapse...... :o

I am with you bewildered, I would eat food before I threw it out. I don't waste, that is just how I was raised. I am sure you can cut back later on something else. Losing weight is hard work, and I have been slipping as well. Everyone is different and there is no perfect weight. I don't think the extra piece of fudge or cookie is going to make that much difference.

Minx, ;D ;D     Rescuing the "hopeless"......is totally hopeless.
Give it away!!!!!.    Set yourself a different "path" this year: please.
Don't waste your energy. :o

Reg: the Cheesecake?.
It was a homemade, Vanilla with butter biscuits and fresh Strawberries, syrup and added cream decos:  :-* :-* :-*

it did look decidedly tired and dejected:when I discovered it:
However: it went down "a treat"!.

Sadly, it was the "Guilt" that accompanied, the eating of such a delicious desert,at that hour of the morning: when I really should have been eating a plateful of Muesli: that worried me.
Happy New year!!!!! and Many Blessings!!!.
Lots of Love bewildered. X0X0***

An old schoolfriend of mine did the course & she has never been so busy...from memory though I think obtaining  the Licence to be a Marriage Celebrant did take awhile (well I'm talking NSW)....best of luck though....you could be as busy or as idle as you want I guess.....& of course there is also the "naming ceremonies" etc to add into that. :)

What is a "marriage celebrant"? Also, this talk of food has made me crave something I have not made in a while. A pecan pie. Its one of the few things I know how to cook. Its the one thing I remember from the restaurant I worked in for a short while. I finally go the recipe from the pastry chef and she made me memorize it and never to be written down or given out upon an oath. I can do that an a roast well, otherwise I am not much of a cook, more into home brewing and mechanical things. I think I have the ingredients to make one of those pies, I should not make one as I am diabetic and control my sugar with what I eat, but it is a craving. I too am trying to lose weight. I am 6 feet and 215 pounds and should be at least down around 190. The BMI thing does not work right for me. I have unusually large muscular thighs and hips and when I was eating right and in my best shape with little fat I never got below 185. Of course that was a little over 3 years ago before my knee problems. I never felt better back then. I was working out at the gym a lot. That is when I took the cowboy hat picture. I think I showed that picture back then, but I have gained 30 pounds or so and I have no excuse for it with bad knees.
Each extra pound on your belly puts 5psi on you knees.
