Seems to me he's being hung, drawn and quartered by Abbott before there's any sort of judicial inquiry. The real 'joke' is that Turnbull was up for the same 'offence' but was allowed to keep working while it was sorted out!! Hypocrisy at its worst.

"Thank God we're not all atheists"
« on: April 03, 2010, 09:58:17 AM »
http://www.smh.com.au/national/thank-god-were-not-all-atheists-bishop-says-20100401-ri4q.html

Thank God we're not all atheists, bishop says

GODLESSNESS and secularism led to Nazism, Stalinism, mass murder and abortion, according to Anthony Fisher, the new bishop of Parramatta, who has used his inaugural Easter message to launch a scathing attack on atheism, while ignoring the sex abuse scandals besieging the Catholic Church worldwide.

God is dead, Bishop Fisher said, but not in the sense that atheists mean.

As I have said previously on this forum:

Quote
Hitler himself was a Christian and look at the atrocities he committed. Stalin was an Atheist and look at his. Now lets step back from the issue of faith and look at some other lifestyle influences. Don't you think that the fact that both Stalin and Hitler were abused by their fathers almost daily would have a little more to do with it?

Not to mention the rapes/murders/abortions etc in the name of Christianity...
Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, "I will try again tomorrow."

THE past few weeks have been a busy time for militant atheists, in concert across the Anglosphere.

A few days ago Richard Dawkins, the high-profile evolutionary biologist, referred to Benedict XVI as "a leering old villain in a frock".

"No," he tells us. "Pope Ratzinger should not resign. He should remain in charge of the whole rotten edifice -- the whole profiteering, woman-fearing, guilt-gouging, truth-hating, child-raping institution -- while it tumbles, amid a stench of incense and a rain of tourist-kitsch sacred hearts and preposterously crowned virgins, around his ears."

Give me an Athiest over a priest any day that kids are around

Quote
The current Pope is now found directly responsible for two clear incidents of covering up or ignoring child abuse and rape.

"As head of the organisation that took responsibility for investigating these cases for so long, his complicity in this vast and twisted criminal conspiracy is not in dispute. If he were the head of a secular organisation, he would already have resigned and be co-operating with the police."

Hitler renounced Christianity and began cultivating a paganesque religion among his more devout followers, especially those indocrinated into the SS.

Hitler's hatred for the Jews stemmed from his ultra-nationalism (yes Hitler was from the right, regardless of what anyone on the right says or writes in response to an Andrew Bolt Blogg) where-by he took the teachings of Judaism in regard to how Jews see themselves as Jews first and formost and the nationality they bolong to as nearly irrelevent.

To Hitler this was intolerable, all Germans were expected to be Germans, wether they wanted to or not, such as the Poles and so on and so forth.

The whole Aryan Master Race Myth gets woven into that ultra-nationalist (facism) ideology as well.

You'll find that most ideologies outside of religion often commit worse attrocities by scale, as the ideology becomes most important, such as Socialism and Communism, humanity itself at the value of te person is often removed, this can not truely happen with theology, as theology relies soley on the human ti God connect to actually work.

Soctrates was a pedarist, so were most notable Classical Greek philosophers, Soctrates gave us ethics and is regarded as one of the founding fathers of Western Civilisation...

Classical Romans practiced institutionalised child sex slavery and incest was legal as long as it did not involve a member of the "official family" and young Roman girls virtually never had hymens upon entering puberty.

Given the way most people think, the above would make anyone who believes in democracy and western civilisation a paedophile...

Would explain why 1 in 5 Australian Children are sexually assualted in their own homes by the time they turn 18 and why the vast majority of rape victims in Australia are under 15...

Not true, not even close to being factual, the Aboriginal People of Australia have some of the highest incidence of child abuse in the world and virtually none of them are church goers.

In-fact, precious few Australians attend Church and that number is in terminal decline, Australia is one of the most un-observant and un-religious nations in the world and by no surprise it also ranks 3rd out-right in terms of reported sex crimes. In-fact sex crimes in Australia is one two crime catagories to have shown any notable and sustained increase over the past decade, an average rise of 4% year on year every year.

So, the less religious we have become as guaged by declining chuch attendence is directly corolated by a rise in sex based offences...

Andrew Bolt is a copy and paste hack with far too much time on his hands with just enough functioning grey matter to realise that he will grow fat and wealthy peddling his pro-Israeli anti-Muslim beware the Red Menace fear-mongery to people who really should know better...

And yes, Hitler was on the right of the political divide regardless of what A B and his staunch followers prattle on about in their endless blame everything on the socialists gabb fest that seams to qualify as journalsim these days.

You can also look at the MAKO Website

It has a special listing for those Within the Church

http://www.mako.org.au/holyhell.html

Remember when you read it, that it only lists those who have been charged
