Seems to me he's being hung, drawn and quartered by Abbott before there's any sort of judicial inquiry. The real 'joke' is that Turnbull was up for the same 'offence' but was allowed to keep working while it was sorted out!! Hypocrisy at its worst.

They have been labelled by the media as 'the three indies' - and perhaps other names by many others, but it looks like they are just playing games now.

Read where Gillard gave a written guarantee that this gov (whoever) would go the full 3 year term. Big promise - but she herself may not be the leader/PM - so how much is it worth?

He said that if Rudd were still PM he'd vote with Labor.

His electorate should kick him out, cowboy hat and all.

He's shown his true colours...those who voted him in thought he was an orange, but he's turned out to be a lemon.

The other two seem to be much the same.

This is indeed an interesting election. As the numbers firm up it is becoming even more so.

We have the three amigos and they are reasonably friendly to each other: Tony Windsor, Rob Oakeshott and Bob Kattor (former country party men that have little in common with the National Party).

We have Andrew Wilke an independent from Tasmania that was a whistleblower re the lie that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction and who opposed Australia's invasion of Iraq.

Then we have the Greens only representaive in the house Adam Bandt (who could be assummed to support the ALP)

Finally we have Tony Crook (a W.A. National that replaced Wilson Tuckey - Liberal). Although he has been counted as a supporter of the LP/Nats he has said that the WA Nats are independent from the Federal Nats and that he may in fact choose to sit on the cross benches - depending on circumstances.

Wonder what will happen next week????

Gillard will be PM, Labor will be the govt, and the country will sink further into the sewer.

...and the 3 amigos can rack off back from whence they came, and face the music there.

I quite like them all...at this stage...... however I think now they have returned to their electorates they should shut up for now...cut back the interviews etc..let the voting counting come to a conclusion etc...
Then when they do decide who shall govern...let them the government get on with the job...

PS did I hear right re Bob Katter wanting to change state boundaries and create a seventh state.....knowing Julia she would be YES>>YES>>YYEESS>>> ;D

Yep, Northern West Australia I think he wanted to call it.

The push for a seperate state of North Queensland didn't originate with Bob Katter. Such proposals have been made since 1852. The most recent push began in the 1990s as many in North Queensland became increasingly concerned that a lot of the export revenue generated in the north was being used in the rapidly expanding South-East to the detriment of those that produced it. In more recent times, many North Queenslanders have been agitated by actions taken by the Bligh Labor Government.

Bob Katter has recently brought the matter to national attention but he's far from being alone in pushing the agenda for a new state in North Queensland. See reference below.

Hitting your spouse/adults is 'assault', the cops arrive and cart you away.

So it should be with children as well.

It is ...'physical violence'.

Exceptions under the law have been made for tapping toddlers on the leg or bottom.

That's all.

Mrs b was in a store this year, a man whacked his son about 7 in the head because he was annoyed with him...the boy was knocked off his feet and fell about 2 metres across the floor.

Corporal punishment...we ain't having it!
