Seems to me he's being hung, drawn and quartered by Abbott before there's any sort of judicial inquiry. The real 'joke' is that Turnbull was up for the same 'offence' but was allowed to keep working while it was sorted out!! Hypocrisy at its worst.

Wandering by to say 'Hi'. Completely flat out at the moment, studying 2 courses and teaching 3, plus buying a townhouse on the Gold Coast for our big move in a few months. All the developments are good ones, though. Hope all's well with all here.

OK, I'll start.
« on: August 06, 2009, 10:25:34 PM »
Jen - yep I am female, and living in the Hunter Valley, N.S.W. I have 4 kids and work as a teachers aide. Doing up an old miners cottage with my partner and sleeping are my two main activities on the weekends (would do more of the second and less of the first if he would let me!!) lol

I like reading, sudoku, trivia, red wine, euchre, friends, a good 'discussion' and a laugh, the sedentary things in life. I don't like dishonour, drama queens, or vegemite and lemon spread sandwiches.
Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, "I will try again tomorrow."

I am bambu-teller of the truth.

I have 2 girls, they have 4 legs each.

I live in Western Sydney.
I am a house-husband.

I am an 'elderly man', 63, according to some no-ideas who write in our newspapers "an elderly man 60 was mugged last night in ......... st."

I hate reading books.
I hate trivia.
I hate red wine, and card games.
I love 'dishonour' over death.
I am a 'coward', .....a 'rabbit that runs', 'one' of Blamey's 'rabbits'.
I don't have many friends...only a few close ones.
I hate crosswords.
I hate rabbit stew, lemon curd, and pumpkin scones.
I love drama queens.

Alright then..let's do Tell minus the Show

I'm Minx

I call Australia 'home' as I've travelled and worked in so many States that I feel no real allegiance to any one place. However, the Perth Hills stole my heart...but so do The Snowy's.

I've been married twice plus one almost long-term relationship - well, 5 years  :-*....no biological children...not so blessed  :-\; 4 step kids and at last count 11 grandkids

I choose my freinds carefully and my lovers even more so.

I have a harem across Australia and enjoy the fact that I can spend time with old lovers and enjoy the comfort of close friendship and understanding

I believe in honesty tempered with good manners

I enjoy a Merlot - as you ALL know  ::)

I like my steak rare...prefered red meat is 'roo
add a roast prattie cut open in quarters and filled with Garlic Sauce and I'm in heaven...esp if there is some steamed Asparagus on the side.

I enjoy Sukudo and totally HATE it when someone on a previous QANTAS flight has completed it in the Mag...

I love the smell of fresh mown grass; the morning chatter of birds; the immenseness of the sea which rolls into a beach; the depth of a diamond strewn sky when laying on the bonnet of the car in the Outback.

I'm curious, inquisitive and enjoy being outside of my comfort zone

OK, I'm 55 (Monday), only drink pale-ale, or beer, love feeding people, only have a few but quality friends.
I'm a compulsive "helper", and a sucker for babies, lol.
All my family are in Adelaide, distance makes the heart grow fonder, the further away I am the more I like them, lol.
I spent 16 years as a single parent (that was good), 14 of them in a city that I hated, in a state that I hated, because that’s where my support network (family) was.
During that time I kept my inner self sane, (the one that screams in the night), by dreaming of coming here and living alone in the tropics.
And now I am, I’ve got a job I enjoy, with and for people I like; I work outside half the time.
I've got a sweet little flat, friends to hang with when time permits, I even get laid occasionally.
I've got a nice little 4WD to get around in the bush and go fishing in the wild places, and mates to do it with.
I have grown kids that make me weep with pride.
What more could any man want?
I'm going to live forever, or die trying

No worries, Dad. it is not a particularly nice phrase... it was a coarse expression used many years ago...of the same era as that other ridiculous word... 'birds' ...IE meaning women.

Now they're called 'chics'..."that guy is a 'chic-magnet'."

"The Wolfman" RL winger for Manly...said after a 'rough' game this year, when asked by the post-match reporter about the grazing and cuts on his face:

"Chics dig scars"  and smiled...;D

Oh, we're doing history:

I was born in the 1940's in Rose Bay NSW

. Moved to the fringe of the western suburbs at age 5.

. Performed poorly at school...although mixing up the ink to put in the ink wells to dip the stick pens in was fun.
Also being on traffic duty roster in primary school was fun...waiting til the cars came around the corner then swinging the long STOP barrier arms out.

. Attended the primary school reunion at age 42...only to be accused by a woman of committing a sexual harassment crime at the school when I was about 9...allegedly chased her around the playground and tried to kiss her.

. Was not a great athlete, only good at tennis...A grade comp, no big deal it wasn't Wimbledon.

. No idea, was sent to finishing school.

. Did no military training...hated the military.

. Got dragged kicking and screaming to partner a girl at a north shore upper middle class debutante ball...the girl was labelled 'hayseed' by the other girls as she was a 'ring-in' from the bush who'd come to the city at age 16 to find a job and was living with pretend rellies, their daughter making her debut, 'hayseed's partner having had to pull out of the event and rehearsals.
You shoulda heard mummy dearest's guilt trip ploy to me after I refused to go dancing with girls anywhere, having been dumped and ridiculed one too many times.
"That poor little girl must be so disappointed...she's bought a dress...new shoes...and now she can't make her debut with the other girls...poor girl"..."there are no other boys available...you are her last hope".

Well 'hayseed' was just lovely, looked about 14.
Ya gotta love mums.

. The mums loved young bambu..."He's such a nice boy that bambu, so well-mannered and so polite".

. Learnt to ride a horse when the big white mare bolted.

. Moved to the western suburbs in the 70's.

. Never wanted to be management...too much drama for too little extra money.

.     Also worked in law enforcement.

.     Also spent time in Gaol
