Where did you meet your partner?

I was reading somewhere about the way people meet up with their partners. Seems a huge number meet at work though there are of course hundreds of places one might find the opportunity to meet and talk to someone you like the look of.

I was wondering what sort of cross section we have in here and where we all met our respective partners (even the ones we dumped or were dumped by later).

For example, I met my wife while I was making a living driving an ice-cream van. The girl who used to work for me took a few days off to visit and look after a sick boyfriend and arranged for this scrawny kid she knew to take her place because she'd worked on other vans so knew how to work the machines etc.

She got on... and never got off! We've been together ever since... nearly 30 years now!

So... how did you get yours??

explored all the local girls and decided to go to auckland dance some 180 mile away so in an old 1924 Morris  set off  at max speed of 40mph but cruising speed less it was generally a 6 hour journey.

first girl i danced with was very nervous as it was her first dance .

the next year was many all night trips  to meet her in the morning and take her out during her day off from night shift. then return home to my own night shift  still married 47 years later
