It's almost time to move the domains to a parking lot (e.g. wordpress.com) and give up. Methinks the day of the 'generalised opinion forum' is over

Nope.  Why are you letting spammers register, still?  If you dont watch out you'll get hit by the North Korean mob that hit cpaptalk.com

So the site is back... thanks (sort of) to Jumba. Where did it go?? I updated the software and it crashed. I investigated and was told the server was using an old version of PHP (5.3) and we needed to update to Version 7.0. Why this wasn't done before s anyone's guess.

I think 'everyone' vanished whilst the forum was down. It needs a bit of advertising. Question is *where* would be most effective?

Lots of junk posts.  I dont think they are bots, just spammers looking for a way to tout their wares in forums which are effectively DEAD, Chris.

Ok, so before i get to the heart of the topic i would like to make a few acknowledgements first.

1. I am Autistic, which means i see the world differently than others.
2. These are only my opinion, i do not expect anyone to agree with my opinion, all i ask for is respect and understanding.
3. From my perspective i feel like i am in the right.
4. I don't absorb massive amounts of information quickly or easily, so if you do pass on info, don't make a massive paragraph, be short, simple and right on point.
5. The points i will make i feel very strongly on.
6. I admit i don't know everything, but i will use all the research i have learned and my own life experience to full effect.

With all that said, i shall get to it.

So the first thing i would like to address is about something i use alot of, the internet, now i will say it is good that Australia is slowly but surely bringing the NBN out, they are not bringing it out fast enough, to give an idea of what i mean, where i live it will be 3 years before Fibre Optic cable installation starts, this does not work for me personally, i love using the internet as much as the next person, but they are taking their sweet time instead of working hard(which in most cases hard word does not go unrewarded)to get the NBN done all accross Australia, and on top of that South Korea has better net than us, like if Australia is such a great country then why are we not with great if not astronomical internet speeds, i personally find it very unfair that South Korea gets better internet than Australia, if i were the Prime Minister, Internet would be #1 on my list of things to take care of.

Next up is the Unemployment rate, ok let me admit keeping jobs going in cities is all well and good but there are quite a number of towns where the Unemployment rate is unbelievable, the Australian Government speaks highly of creating more jobs and lowering the unemployment rate, yet the cities get all the focus and all the towns have to fend for themselves, if the government was serious about jobs in Australia, than lowering the unemployment rate of those towns is a great first step, if i were the Prime Minister this would be #2 on my list of things to take care of.

Next up tends to one of my hobbies, video games, i admit there are a small handfull of video game conventions here in Australia but they are all based in Sydney, why not a gaming convention in Darwin, Perth, Brisbane, Melbourne, Hobart and Canberra, and on top of that how about some more gaming conventions, bring Blizzcon to Australia, Bring QuakeCon to Australia, Bring Minecon to Australia, America gets way more gaming conventions than anywhere else in the world. so a little love towards video games would be nice, If i were the president this would be #3 on my list of things to do.

Next up would be plain and simple, Research and Development into the future, things like self driving cars, cars that hover, planes that have a 0% chance of crashing, being able to make skyscrapers from a single atom, being able to cure 100% of all kinds of diseases, etc, this would be the dawn of a brighter future for Australia, If i were the Prime Minister this would be #4 on my list of things to do.

Next and this one would be more globally benificial, No more wars, ever, every single country would be required to sign a 1 billion year peace treaty, and every 500 million years the treaty would have to be reveiwed and resigned, this would ensure no wars can ever happen, wars are the reason women become widows, wars are the reason national debts go up, War is a very unneccacary evil that needs to be permanantly eliminated, if i were the Prime Minister this would be #5 on my list of things to do.

Next cheaper living expenses, yes i am aware the goverment is trying to do just that, but i feel they are doing it wrong, but then again i dont know of any better methods, if i were the prime minister this would be #6 on my list of things to do.

Next up i would start focusing on making the internet more secure crom all kinds of attacks like viruses, identity theft, trojan horses, etc, i would call it the "National Internet Security Scheme" basicly what this would mean is Australias internet would be encrypted with the latest and greatest, lets say for examples sake we have 1billion bit encyption on our internet, then it would become quite difficult for hackers, identity thiefs, viruses, etc to go through our internet, but i know nothing about internet encryption or bits so i wont go too far in that area, if i were the Prime Minister this would be #7 on my list of things to do.

next i would deal with the crime, now this will probaly be the issue that will generate the most discussion, firstly i would make it a habbit to treat ALL crimes stricly and severely, a good example is this, if a serial killer killed 1 Australian before he got caught, his sentence is automatic death(contradictory statement) because no one deserves to die, especially at the hands of someone else, rape i would deal with in the same, you rape, you die, you steal, you die, the only way to teach people is to let them know what the consequense is for doing the crime, like i know that my take on dealing with crime is very cruel and completely unessacary but pet me ask you a question

Would you rather a snake be given a few years for killing several people, or would you rather kill the snake so no further harm can happen?

I automaticly disprove of these sentences like "5 years imprisonment for raping a 12 year old" and "10 years for the murder of 5000 individuals" like worst case scenario the criminal continues to do hiscrime after his sentence is up, and effectivly the sentence was useless, if i were the Prime Minister that would be #8 on my list of things to do.

and last the voting system, one it is way to detailed how about a straight vote, for example if John Howard and Kevin Rudd were canidates for PM, we should be given the option to directly vote for either John Howard or Kevin Rudd, not do this whole " vote for a bunch of names no one gives two hoots about, and on top of that i would remove the whole "you don't vote, you get a fine" that is stupid, the government gets money because you chosen not to vote so i would make voting optional not required, if i was the Prime Minister this would be #9 on my list of things to do.

anyways there is my thoughs and feelings about Australia, i know there is alot to read, and even more to discuss but i felt like i needed to voice my opinion

Thanks for reading
