The three 'Inds" do not seem to be capable of biting the bullet and making a decision.
This does not make for 'confidence' in the final outcome.
IMO they are too swept up in their '15 minutes' of fame...

hhhmm................what if we, the law abiding folk..start toting guns...fast forward to the next scenario...we get into a 'hairy' situation...more often than not that gun is taken from you and is then used as the principal weapon against you.
Huh Huh Huh

*sigh* Again with the 'back in my day' increases in violence stories...

http://australianopinion.com.au/forum/index.php/topic,1286.0.html

Anyway...

That's a good point Sandpaper. Same goes for knives and tazers.

Read an article not long back where a guy was quite forcefully suggestive with a woman and she took a tazer to him. All that did was annoy him and he ripped it out of her hand and used it against her.

*sigh* Again with the 'back in my day' increases in violence stories...
*sigh* Again with the denial of changes in society. The world we live in today is very different to that world 'back in my day' - and not merely because of increases in population or so-called 'advances' in technology - or because some may perceive the media are promoting the 'not nice' aspects of society over the 'nice'.
I think the greatest difference between the world today and the world 'back in my day' is attitude - for starters, what's with the 'my day' bit? Do we, do any of us, occupy society only for a set period of time in our lifetimes?
Let's get over the 'my day' bit and consider that what people are alluding to when or if they use that phrase is their experience.
In my experience, the attitudes prevalent in today's society are far more aggressive and self-serving than they were 20, 30, even 40 years ago. There was a time when people didn't lock the doors to their homes and certainly wouldn't even consider locking their cars. That sense of security existed because of an understanding of respect - something I feel our society today sadly lacks.
